We cam on board on Monday 12th April for Pirate Day and from start to finish it was great. My son who is five really enjoyed it especially the stories and exploring the ships. I could not recommend a visit to the ship strongly enough. Thanks

Have had a fantastic day today at Pirate Fun day aboard the Golden Hinde! We had our two sons, aged 6 and 3 with us and also their cousins who are both 8 and the day was perfect for them. The guys who run the tour are just brilliant. They had the kids doubled up laughing the whole time, but taught them a lot too. They were really enthusiastic and the kids loved them. The boys got to explore the whole ship, play games and watch demonstrations about life on board.
Would recommend it to anyone, excellent day out.

My two children had a wonderful time today with Stinky Pete and his pirate chum (sorry, didn't catch his name.) Arrived late so only managed to do the treasure hunt which the children enjoyed immensely. My seven year old son sweetly said "do you think they knew where the treasure was before and it was make believe?" Would definitely try and get there earlier to hear the pirate stories and do the guided tour. Lots of fun. Thanks very much.

I visited The Golden Hinde in 1998 with my parents and since then have wanted to return. This year I finally got the chance. In October 2009 I decided that The Golden Hinde would be the perfect place to propose to my girlfriend ( who has always been interested in the sea and life on board a sailing ship and of course pirates) I telephoned The Golden Hinde and asked if I could hire the ship for the evening. Jochelle informed me that they had a number of packages available that could be tailored to meet my requirements. Numerous telephone calls, emails and visits to the ship helped me to plan the perfect evening for my proposal. The staff could not have been more helpful with their suggestions and advice. On the day itself my girlfriend and I were greeted at 5.30 by Sonia or "Pirate Jim" for our private tour of the ship. Although I was very nervous about asking the most important question of my life, the tour itself was so good, interactive and engaging that after a few minutes I was enthralled. At the end of the tour, the staff had made a personalised flag for me which was hoisted by our tour guide with a message for my girlfriend and I proposed on the deck.....she said yes! A perfect end to a perfect evening and all thanks to the help and assistance of Kevin, Sonia and the staff at the Golden Hinde.
We also found out that the ship arranges overnight living history events for children. We plan to come back with our family and make the Golden Hinde a special place for us for many years to come.

Well what can I say about The Golden Hinde. Its staff and Pirate Jim.
1. The location:- A two minute walk from London Bridge Station with the Globe pub (The film location for Bridget Jones house) nearby. Handy to nip in for a quick drink.
2. Tour of the ship:- The staff are so knowledgeable and professional that you could almost hear, taste and smell what life on board would have been like. Cleaning and firing the cannons gave us an interactive experience of how hard and loud it would have been on board. A thoroughly enjoyable tour for both adults and children and a must do and see when visiting London.
Would I do it again? Most definately! And next time will take my family and friends.
Thank you to Kevin and Sonia for your hard work. We hope to see you all again soon.

What a fantastic venue for a childrens birthday party! My son and his school friends had a brilliant time on board the Golden Hinde with James and Billy doing a superb job keeping all 23 kids entertained (and educated). It was declared to be the "best party ever" and can definitely recommend!

Thank you for a fantastic morning at the pirate fun day. All my kids (9, 5 and 3) thoroughly enjoyed it - as did we. Stinky Pete and Malevolent Mick made a BIG impression and they have been playing pirates ever since!

My boyfriend and I discovered the Golden Hinde by accident while visiting nearby Borough Market and decided to pop in for a look. It is a beautifully reconstructed little ship and very atmospheric inside, as a venue for a private party it must be amazing! It is well worth a visit as a glimse into a fascinating bit of British history and with so many other fabulous attractions in this part of London, incuding Southwark Cathedral, the ruins of Winchester Castle, "The Clink" prison, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, the Tate Modern and the Milennium Bridge all within five-minutes walking distance it is a great starting point for a day's exploring of this wonderful area of the city.
