Renovation work on the Golden Hinde II

Support a unique piece of British naval history

Golden Hinde is a non-profit organisation that exists to maintain the Golden Hinde, a reconstruction of the ship Sir Francis Drake used to circumnavigate the world between 1577-80, and increase awareness of his remarkable achievements.

As a self-funded organisation, we use all income generated from hire, bookings, and ticket sales to preserve the ship for future audiences to enjoy.

We also welcome private and corporate donations to assist us in our various activities, including maintaining the deck and ship, organising exhibitions, and increasing our educational outreach.

At present, we are busy raising funds to replace the gallery, as this has experienced wood rot over the years. With sufficient support, it is our hope to implement full-scale maintenance and renovation of the ship this year as it is crucial for the long-term sustainability this historic ship.
