SIR FRANCIS DRAKES FAMOUS GALLEON

Queens Jubilee Pageant

On the 3rd of June 2012 Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will be celebrating her Diamond Jubilee with a Pageant on the River Thames.

As the first Maritime Museum sanctioned by Queen Elizabeth I in 1581, to celebrate Sir Francis Drakes voyage. We believe that it would be befitting for The Golden Hinde to be a part of this historic day and take its place out on the Thames.

We are asking for your help in raising the £250,000 required to make this great ship
sea-worthy once again. The money raised will be used to replace areas of rigging, sails, refurbishing the hull and the masts.

A donation of any size would be gratefully received.

Please contact our office to discuss our plans in greater detail, or click below to make a secure donation.

We thank you in advance for all your help.

Thanks to the two great actors who entertained the kids at theTudor Christmas Fun Day. If your kids like Horrible Histories then they will love this fun history lesson with all its gory details. Not much good for kids under 5 or if they cant speak english. This was a last minute idea for us which ended up being the highlight of our weekend. Katherine and Johnny said "Thank you very much!"
