The Golden Hinde is renowned for its Family Overnight Living History Tours. These take place once a month throughout the year (except Winter) where you become part of Sir Francis Drake's crew.
On arrival you will be dressed in Tudor costumes as an Officer, Barber Surgeon, or Gunner and taken aboard where the Master of The Golden Hinde will give you your commands for the evening, along with the Barber Surgeon and their `dimwit` Gunner!
After an evening of activities aboard ship you will sleep on the gundeck amongst the cannons (lower deck) for the night. Tudor snack and dinner are provided in the evening, along with breakfast in the morning as you return to the 21st Century.
During your overnight stay, you will be supported by members of our staff and a security guard. The evening will start at 5pm and finish 9am the following morning. Children must be accompanied by a supervising adult.

Dinner - Tudor dinner (Vegetable rice and rustic bread)

Must bring: Sleeping bags and mats (to sleep on)

Thanks to the two great actors who entertained the kids at theTudor Christmas Fun Day. If your kids like Horrible Histories then they will love this fun history lesson with all its gory details. Not much good for kids under 5 or if they cant speak english. This was a last minute idea for us which ended up being the highlight of our weekend. Katherine and Johnny said "Thank you very much!"
